A huge congratulations to our Barnet Division 1 team, Stanmore 2, for finishing first in the league and being crowned Division 1 Champions on 1st April 2023!

This title is a brilliant reflection of the consistency, depth, and determination within the squad. Competing in a highly competitive division, the team delivered outstanding results across the season – winning an impressive 14 out of 18 matches and topping the table with 118 points, comfortably ahead of the rest of the field.

The squad was made up of a large and talented pool of players including Guy, Josh, Nitin, David, Sudheer, Angad, James, Sayan, Hasan, Raman, Calvin, Mateo, Aaron and Chintan – all of whom played their part throughout the campaign and contributed to the overall team success.

Several standout performers deserve special mention. Huy, with a remarkable 85.71% win rate and 5 Man of the Match awards, led from the front and delivered week in, week out. Josh also had a superb campaign, finishing with an 85% win rate and 2 Man of the Match awards, consistently securing key wins for the team. Meanwhile, Sudheer was flawless when called upon – playing a key role with a 100% win rate and earning 4 Man of the Match performances.

The strength of this squad has been not only in its top performers but in the overall depth – each player stepping in when needed and delivering solid results. Whether facing top opposition or tricky away fixtures, the team remained calm, focused, and united.
