A massive congratulations to our Stanmore 3 team for completing a historic season in the Barnet Division 2 League. On 1st April 2023, Stanmore 3 were officially crowned champions after finishing the season unbeaten – winning all 20 of their matches and ending with a staggering 169 points, an impressive 28 points ahead of the runners-up, Exiles 8.

This dominant performance throughout the season is a real credit to the depth and consistency of the team. The squad featured a strong mix of experienced players and exciting young talent, including Rahul, Roland, Sayan, Adrian, Chintan, Khush, Calvin, Philippe, Kyal, Jun, Raman and Richard – all of whom played their part in securing this flawless league campaign.

Several players stood out with truly exceptional records. Rahul was superb throughout the season, playing 24 matches and winning 91.67% of them, picking up 2 Man of the Match awards along the way. Sayan Shah had an even more impressive win rate of 95.83% across 24 matches, collecting 4 Man of the Match awards and showing remarkable consistency. Adrian Hentes was another key player, winning 95.25% of his 21 matches and also picking up 4 Man of the Match honours. Chintan Bhayani contributed a huge amount to the team’s success, winning 93.33% of his 15 matches and being named Man of the Match on 3 occasions.

We also had fantastic contributions from Kyal Shah, who stepped in for 6 matches, won all 6, and claimed 2 Man of the Match awards. Raman Mandair, though only playing 3 matches, was also unbeaten and picked up 1 Man of the Match award for his efforts.

To go unbeaten in a competitive league is a rare and outstanding achievement. This was a season to remember for Stanmore 3 and a proud moment for the entire club. Well done to everyone involved – true champions on and off the table.
