Burgess Hill 2 Star Tournament Success for Stanmore Players

A fantastic performance from Daniyal and Neev at the Burgess Hill 2 Star tournament, with both players producing excellent results across multiple events.
Daniyal had an outstanding day. In the Under 11s, he dominated the group stages, winning all his matches comfortably before progressing through the semi-finals with ease. In the final, he faced Sanav Sethi in a closely contested match, eventually emerging victorious in a thrilling deciding set to become Under 11 Champion.
He continued his strong form in the Under 12s, once again winning all his group matches convincingly and progressing to the quarter-finals. After another comfortable win, Daniyal reached the semi-finals, where he narrowly lost in a very close encounter — a brilliant effort across both age groups.
Neev also impressed with his consistency and determination, reaching the quarter-finals in both the Under 14 and Under 15 events — a fantastic achievement. In the Under 14s, he battled hard before losing a close match in the quarter-finals.
In the Under 15s, Neev once again progressed to the quarter-finals, where he faced top seed Samvit Balaji. Despite losing 1–3, Neev pushed the top seed throughout the match and delivered an outstanding performance that could easily have gone his way.
Well done to Daniyal and Neev for representing Stanmore Table Tennis Club so brilliantly.
