Club and Coach Of The Year Award

We are pleased to announce a fantastic double success for Stanmore Table Tennis Club at the Table Tennis England Pride of Table Tennis Awards 2026.
Congratulations to Stanmore head coach, Joel Fernandes, who has been named London Coach of the Year, recognising his outstanding dedication and impact on player development.
In addition, Stanmore Table Tennis Club have been awarded London Club of the Year, highlighting the club’s continued growth, success and contribution to the sport.
These awards form part of the Area stage of the Pride of Table Tennis Awards 2026, where volunteering superstars from across the country have been recognised. Winners were selected from more than 110 nominations across four categories, Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Young Volunteer of the Year.
Chairman Barry Stacey said, "This is a fantastic achievement for the club, and it really reflects the hard work and commitment of our players, who are at the heart of everything we do. We are also delighted to see Joel recognised. It is thoroughly deserved and reflects the environment being built at Stanmore."
Joel Fernandes added, "The Club of the Year award is a huge achievement for everyone at Stanmore and reflects the hard work of our club, players, coaches and families. The players are at the centre of everything we do, and it is great to see their efforts recognised. I am also very touched to receive the Coach of the Year award. It means a lot, and reflects the progress we are making as a club."
Joel and the club will now progress to the National stage, where a judging panel will decide the overall winners. All shortlisted nominees will also be invited to a special reception during the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026, with the opportunity to watch England in action.
