County Cadets Premier Division Success
A huge well done to Maahi and Nishil, two of our talented Stanmore players who represented Middlesex in the County Cadets Premier Division, held at Woodgreen Academy across the weekend of 22nd February 2025. This prestigious competition brought together the top eight counties in England, making it the highest level of team competition for players under 15.
The Middlesex team performed brilliantly across the weekend, finishing 3rd overall in the final standings. It was an incredibly close competition at the top, with second place only narrowly missed out on countback to Essex. To be battling for a podium position right until the final matches shows just how competitive the team were and the high standard of play they produced across the event.
Maahi and Nishil both contributed to the team’s excellent performance, playing important matches and holding their nerve in some tight encounters. Representing your county in the Premier Division is a huge honour in itself, and to help secure a top-three finish at national level is a fantastic achievement.
We are very proud of how both players represented Stanmore Table Tennis Club at such a high level. Their selection to the Middlesex squad is a reflection of their continued commitment to training, improvement, and consistent performance in local and regional leagues.
Events like the County Cadets Premier Division give young players a brilliant opportunity to test themselves against the best in the country. For Maahi and Nishil, the experience will no doubt fuel further growth and confidence going forward — both on the league circuit and in upcoming tournaments.
Well done to both players and the entire Middlesex team — what a brilliant weekend of table tennis and a proud moment for the club!
