DANIYAL DOUBLE SUCCESS AT RICHMOND PARK

Daniyal delivered an exceptional performance at the Richmond Park Junior 1-Star tournament, competing in both the Under 11 event in the morning and the Under 13 event in the afternoon. Entering as the Number 1 seed in both age groups, he handled the pressure with maturity beyond his years, focusing on his game and letting his performance speak for itself.
In the Under 11s, Daniyal topped his initial group with three strong wins before progressing to the winners’ group stage, where he defeated Kush Jadeja and Peter Szentessy. He then faced Oscar Todhunter in the final, producing a composed and dominant display to win 3–0 (11–2, 11–5, 11–6).
In the Under 13s, Daniyal again started strongly, winning all three of his group matches 3–0. After advancing through the winners’ group, he met the talented Ethan King in the semi-final, winning a high-quality match 3–1 (11–9, 11–9, 7–11, 11–5). This set up a thrilling final against third seed Shiv Jadeja, with both players producing outstanding rallies and high-level exchanges. Daniyal showed great resilience and tactical maturity, securing a superb 3–1 victory (11–6, 11–8, 8–11, 11–7).
Winning both the U11 and U13 titles on the same day, while playing 14 matches from 8:45am to past 6pm is an extraordinary achievement. It was a long, demanding day — but Daniyal’s quality, focus and determination shone throughout.
Everyone at Stanmore Table Tennis Club is immensely proud of him. His hard work, commitment and continuous progress are truly inspiring, and his achievements are a reflection of his dedication and love for the sport
