Harrow & Wembley Singles Win
We were incredibly proud to see 15-year-old Rishi win the Intermediate Singles title at this season’s Wembley & Harrow League tournament. The event featured strong competition from players across Divisions 3 to 5, but Rishi stood out with an exceptional performance.
As a Division 4 player, Rishi entered the event as an underdog — but he played with remarkable confidence and composure throughout. In the final, he faced a top Division 3 player from LCNL and delivered a commanding display to win the match in straight sets, 3–0. It was a truly dominant performance against a very experienced opponent, and one that showcased the progress Rishi has made this season.
This victory is a reflection of Rishi’s dedication, focus, and continuous improvement in training. Week after week, he’s been putting in the hard work, and it’s paying off in the most rewarding way. His performance in the final was not just about winning — it was about how he won: with control, consistency, and confidence.
As a club, we are always proud to see our young players competing well, but moments like this are extra special. Rishi’s win is not only a personal milestone, but also an inspiration to his fellow clubmates — showing what’s possible with commitment, belief, and a true love for the game.
Congratulations, Rishi! You've made Stanmore Table Tennis Club extremely proud.
