Jack Petchey Schools Qualifier
We were proud to see Stanmore Table Tennis Club well represented at the West London Schools Jack Petchey Tournament, held on 25th February 2025. It was a great day of competition, and our players gave it their all against some of the region’s top school-aged talent.
A huge congratulations goes to Josh, who produced a strong performance in the Under 19s event to secure 3rd place overall. His efforts not only earned him a place on the podium but also qualified him for the London Schools Final — a fantastic achievement that reflects both his consistency and hard work throughout the season.
Josh stayed composed throughout the day and showed strong tactical play in key matches. His progression through the rounds was impressive, and he continued to challenge opponents with intelligent shot selection and solid footwork. Securing a place at the London Finals is a well-earned reward, and we look forward to supporting him on the next stage of his journey.
We’d also like to give an honourable mention to Rishi and Frankie, who both represented Stanmore in the Under 16s event. They played brilliantly, each progressing through the early rounds to reach the quarter-final stage. It was a highly competitive field, and both players showed fantastic energy and resilience at the table.
To have three players reaching the latter stages of their respective categories shows just how strong our junior squad is becoming. All of them are putting in the work week after week — in training sessions and competitive league play — and it’s great to see that dedication translating into tournament success.
Well done to Josh, Rishi and Frankie — your results made us proud, and we look forward to seeing even more from you this season!
