Junior British Clubs Success
We were proud to see Stanmore Table Tennis Club achieve another brilliant set of results at the Junior British Clubs League held on 15th March 2025 at Cippenham Table Tennis Club in Slough. Competing in Division 1, both of our teams showed fantastic skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Stanmore A had a particularly strong outing, finishing in 2nd place overall. The team, made up of Shayan, Rohan and Frankie, delivered consistent performances from start to finish. They fought hard in every match, stayed composed in tight moments, and came away with some excellent wins that secured them a well-earned runner-up finish.
Hot on their heels, Stanmore B — featuring Rishi, Aaron and Raman — also made a strong impression, ending the day in 4th place in the same division. Despite facing some of the top junior teams in the country, they rose to the challenge, played some very competitive table tennis and demonstrated excellent team spirit throughout.
The Junior British Clubs League is one of the more demanding events in the calendar, with high-level players from across the country competing. To have two teams in Division 1, and to come away with 2nd and 4th place finishes, is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the strength of our junior setup at Stanmore.
Across both teams, the players gave it their all — playing with maturity, encouraging each other between matches, and representing the club with pride. Whether it was tight five-setters or comfortable wins, the commitment to improvement and love of the game was clear to see.
Well done to all six players on a great day of competition. We look forward to seeing even more from this talented group as the season continues!
