London Academy U15 Girls Champ
We are delighted to announce that Maahi from Stanmore Table Tennis Club was crowned Under 15 Girls Champion at the London Academy tournament in Edgware on 9th February 2025.
The event attracted a strong field of young players from across the region, and Maahi rose to the occasion with an outstanding display of skill, focus, and determination. Over the course of the day, she played six matches — and won every single one, remaining completely unbeaten.
Her opponents included some very capable and experienced young players, including Niylah Fernandez, Isabelly Lorrana, Shnaya Singh, Nikola Vathaj, Shirley He, and Rhiannon Roberts. Each match presented a different challenge, but Maahi handled them all with impressive composure. Whether she was playing fast, aggressive attackers or more defensive-minded players, she adapted her game beautifully to stay in control.
Maahi’s consistency was a standout feature of her performance. She remained focused throughout the day, demonstrating strong tactical awareness, excellent footwork, and the ability to maintain pressure in key points. Her attacking shots were sharp, and her calm temperament helped her stay ahead even when matches became tight.
To win all six matches in such a competitive environment is a fantastic achievement, and one that reflects the hard work Maahi continues to put in at Stanmore Table Tennis Club. She has shown week after week that she’s not only improving but also learning how to perform at her best under pressure — an important quality at this stage of her development.
Congratulations to Maahi on a brilliant tournament and a well-deserved gold medal. You’ve done yourself and the club proud — and we look forward to many more success stories to come!
