National cadet league success day 1

Stanmore Table Tennis Club had a truly remarkable showing at the National Cadet League this weekend, held at Westminster. With 22 players representing the club across 6 teams, Stanmore was the most represented club at the venue, making for an exciting and action-packed day of competitive table tennis.

Stanmore’s teams were spread across the top six divisions, highlighting the depth and strength of the club:

  • Stanmore A competed in Division 1 and was made up of Frankie, Daniyal, Krit and Aditya.
  • Stanmore B competed in Division 2 and included Marley, Neev, Riki and Dilan S.
  • Stanmore C competed in Division 3 and consisted of Rohan, Saatvik and Dilan R.
  • Stanmore D competed in Division 4 and featured Kalelan, Giyaan, Hasan and Sohum.
  • Stanmore E competed in Division 5 and was made up of Aarav, Krish and Arush.
  • Stanmore F competed in Division 6 and included Saahir, Shrey, Shubham and Yash.

To have 22 players competing across the top six divisions is an outstanding achievement for the club and demonstrates the growth, commitment and quality within Stanmore Table Tennis Club.

The day was filled with excellent performances, with players showing not only strong technical ability but also impressive mental strength and maturity in a highly competitive environment.

Stanmore A delivered an exceptional performance in Division 1, finishing the day in first place. Stanmore B also topped Division 2 and will now join Stanmore A in Division 1 for the next round, which is a fantastic achievement for the team.

Stanmore C worked extremely hard throughout the day and successfully retained their place in Division 3, showing resilience and determination against strong opposition.

Stanmore D, Stanmore E and Stanmore F all topped their respective divisions, finishing first in Divisions 4, 5 and 6. As a result, all three teams will be promoted to the next division for the upcoming round, further highlighting the depth of talent across the club.

This was an incredibly successful day for Stanmore, with 22 players competing across 6 teams in one venue and achieving such impressive results. The collective effort from everyone involved was outstanding and reflects the strong culture that continues to grow within the club.

The club would like to extend a huge thank you to the coaches who were present throughout the day, providing guidance, support and reassurance to the players. A special thank you also goes to the parents, whose encouragement and support played a vital role in

keeping the players calm, focused and composed throughout the competition.

Most importantly, congratulations to all of the players. They competed with maturity, discipline and confidence, particularly in challenging moments, and represented Stanmore Table Tennis Club with great pride. This event was another significant milestone in the club’s continued development, and we are extremely proud of everyone involved.

Joel from Stanmore Table Tennis club has been delivering regular coaching at Park High School and this has led to a number of students from Park High being involved with the club. They have absolutely loved it. Their passion for the sport has grown and they have dedicated any spare time they have to practicing the skills and techniques they have been taught. They proudly represent their school and their club. This experience has truly given them a gift that will stay with them well beyond their school years. It has been a pleasure to witness the impact that Joel and Stanmore has had on those students who have become involved with the club.

We’ve had a fantastic experience at Stanmore Tennis Club. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is welcoming and well-run. Coach Joel has not only helped my son improve his skills, technique, and confidence—he’s truly fuelled his passion for table tennis. Joel is patient, encouraging, and brings out the best in young players. A mention also to Barry, who keeps everything running smoothly. My son looks forward to every session. Highly recommend this club for anyone looking for quality coaching and a supportive atmosphere.

Our son (now 12 years of age) has been going for just under a year and half to this club after coming from another where he was not really progressing. Joel, Barry, Joel’s son have been fantastic and committed to making sure everyone is reaching their potential and thus our sons game has improved significantly in a short space of time and is taking part in a lot more competitions and achieving results. We cannot be more delighted with the club. V. Desai

My son has thrived being part of the wonderful Stanmore Table Tennis Club. Under Barry’s leadership and Joel’s coaching he now represents the club at national tournaments which has been amazing to see. It is great to see all ages mixing at the club playing together, there is a real family feel to the club and it has become his second home!

Truly grateful for the positive impact Joel’s TT coaching has had on our child through the club. The sessions have been both engaging and skill-building, offering a fun and supportive environment for development—not just in sports, but in confidence, teamwork, and discipline. The club has a profoundly valuable impact on nurturing local children and providing a safe, enriching space for them to grow and thrive. The activity has become an important and confidence-boosting part of our child’s routine. It is an invaluable asset to the wider community, and we sincerely hope it continues to help children develop the skills they aim for. Thanks to your dedication and professionalism, we fully support your efforts and hope many more young people get the chance to benefit from this incredible program.
