National Junior League Success
A massive congratulations to Josh, Ryan, and Shayan from Stanmore Table Tennis Club, who were crowned winners of the National Junior League at Wellingborough on 9th March 2024!
This was a well-earned team victory across multiple match days. While Josh, Rohan, and Rishi laid the foundation during Round 3, it was Josh, Ryan, and Shayan who completed the job on the final day and secured the title. According to the NJL rules, all points from previous rounds are carried forward – so every win counted. Stanmore’s consistency over the tournament proved crucial.
On the final day, our boys delivered a string of strong performances and wrapped up the title with a match to spare, showing just how dominant the team had been throughout the event. The team’s depth, skill, and togetherness really shone through, and each player contributed key wins to secure the overall victory.
Josh led from the front with solid results across all three days, including decisive matches when the pressure was on. Ryan brought great energy and composure to his games, and Shayan stepped up brilliantly to help finish the campaign in style. This was a true team effort built on trust, discipline, and belief.
It’s also important to recognise the role of Rohan and Rishi, who were part of the earlier rounds and helped build the points tally that ultimately led to this result. Every match mattered, and this trophy belongs to all five players.
Winning the National Junior League at Wellingborough is a fantastic achievement and another proud moment for Stanmore TTC. Well done boys – champions of NJL 2024!
