At Stanmore Table Tennis Club, we welcome players of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities. From young juniors as early as 7 years old to adults returning to the sport or playing competitively for years, we’re proud to be an inclusive and diverse community. Whether you’re just discovering table tennis or already playing in leagues, there’s a place for you here.
Our members come from all walks of life and join for many reasons—fun, fitness, competition, or friendship. What unites them is a shared love for the game and a supportive environment that helps everyone grow. We run structured coaching sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, ideal for building confidence and developing skills in a fun and welcoming space.
Many of our players go on to represent the club in local league competitions such as the Harrow & Wembley League and the Barnet League. Juniors also compete in prestigious events like the National Cadet League and Junior British League. We actively encourage everyone to explore competition at their own pace, with our coaches offering full support throughout the journey.
Our coaching programme is designed to help players reach their full potential—no matter their starting point. From beginners learning the basics to experienced players working on advanced tactics, our sessions cater to a wide range of goals and abilities. We believe that development should be accessible to all, and we’re proud of our welcoming, inclusive training environment.
Led by Joel Fernandes, our weekly sessions focus on both technical and tactical development. Players benefit from small group coaching, tailored feedback, and match play opportunities that build real confidence and game awareness. For those who want to accelerate their progress, we also offer one-to-one coaching and occasional workshops.
Our Sunday junior coaching sessions, run by our head coach Joel, are especially popular—providing younger players with a fun, focused introduction to the sport. These sessions often act as the first step toward local and national competition for many of our juniors.
We also run seasonal training camps and skill-focused clinics throughout the year. Whether you aim to represent the club in leagues or simply enjoy improving your game, our development pathway supports you every step of the way.
