On Thursday 26th June 2025, the Stanmore Table Tennis Club community came together for a fantastic evening of celebration, reflection, and recognition. Our annual awards night brought together players of all ages, their families, and our coaching team to honour what has been one of the most successful seasons in the club’s history.
 
Hosted at our club venue, the evening began with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere as members arrived to a delicious spread put on by the club. The food selection had something for everyone, including hot pizzas, crispy samosas, assorted cakes, donuts, and other sweet treats. It was a chance for our players and parents to relax, socialise, and enjoy the warm spirit that makes Stanmore such a unique and supportive club.
 
After the food, we moved into one of the most anticipated parts of the evening — the Stanmore Table Tennis Quiz. Prepared by our junior coach, Josh Fernandes, the quiz was packed with fun and challenging questions across multiple rounds. It covered everything from table tennis trivia and club knowledge to picture rounds and league statistics. Our head coach Joel stepped up as quiz host for the evening and led the event with energy, humour, and great timing — some joked he might be even better as a host than as a coach! With players and parents teaming up, the quiz created a lively and engaging atmosphere, and the winning team took home some well-earned prizes.
 
Following the quiz, the highlight of the evening began — our annual awards ceremony. As a club, we couldn’t be prouder of the achievements made across various leagues this season. It has been a year of immense growth, determination, and outstanding results, with Stanmore making its mark in both local and county competitions.

Each winning team was invited up to receive their plaque, and the pride was clear to see on every face. From our juniors lifting their first trophies to experienced league players who’ve shown years of dedication, the awards reflected the full strength and depth of our club.
 
It was also a night to recognise the collective spirit of Stanmore Table Tennis Club. Our club is more than a place to play table tennis — it is a supportive, thriving community where players are encouraged to grow, compete, and enjoy the game. The presence of so many parents and families at the event showed just how strong that community really is.
 
The awards night was not just about celebrating past success, but also looking ahead. With so many enthusiastic and skilled players coming through the ranks, and a strong support system around them, the future of Stanmore Table Tennis Club is incredibly bright. We are committed to continuing our growth as a competitive and inclusive club, and events like this remind us why we do what we do.
