Table Tennis Camp Success
A massive congratulations to Josh, who was awarded Player of the Camp at a prestigious 3-day training weekend led by England international coaches Paul Gersten and Craig Bryant – both highly respected TTE Level 4 coaches.
The camp brought together some of the most promising junior talent from across the country, and Josh’s performance, work ethic and attitude stood out from the start. Across the three days, the players were put through their paces with a mixture of technical, tactical and physical training sessions – all delivered at a very high intensity.
Josh consistently showed what we already know at Stanmore Table Tennis Club – that he’s a focused, committed and technically sharp player who is constantly striving to improve. His dedication throughout the camp caught the attention of both Paul and Craig, and it’s a fantastic sign of progress that Josh’s name – and Stanmore TTC – are now firmly on their radar.
The Player of the Camp award is not just about winning matches. It’s awarded to the individual who shows the greatest level of engagement, coachability, application, and improvement across the weekend. For Josh to be recognised in this way, among such strong competition, is a real honour.
Craig Bryant already knows Stanmore TTC well, having recently run a performance camp for our club earlier this season. With this result, the connection between Stanmore and some of England’s top coaching staff is growing even stronger – something that will only benefit our players in the future.
We are incredibly proud of Josh – not only for winning the award, but for representing our club so brilliantly. Keep working hard and enjoying the journey – this is just one of many milestones to come.
Well done Josh – you’ve done yourself and Stanmore TTC proud!
