A huge congratulations to Shiromi, who delivered a brilliant set of results at the Wembley & Harrow Closed Table Tennis Championships on 27th February 2024. Representing Stanmore Table Tennis Club, Shiromi took part in three events and came away with a full set of silverware to show for her efforts.

In the Ladies Veterans, Shiromi was crowned Champion, putting on a masterclass of control, experience, and tactical play throughout the event. Her calm presence at the table and smart shot selection saw her come through each round with determination, and she fully deserved to take home the title. A fantastic win for a very well-rounded and hard-working player.

She also reached the final of the Ladies Singles, finishing as runner-up. It was a tough field, but Shiromi showed why she’s one of the most respected players in the league. Her route to the final included some brilliant rallies and closely contested games, and although she just missed out on the top spot, her performance was consistent and full of heart.

In the Ladies Doubles, Shiromi again made it all the way to the final, this time finishing as runner-up alongside her partner. The pair worked well together through the rounds, showing great communication and covering the table superbly. They came up just short in the final, but it was another excellent performance.

To walk away with one championship title and two runners-up medals across three events in a single day is a brilliant achievement. Shiromi has been an important figure for Stanmore TTC and continues to lead by example on and off the table.
