England Primary Schools International Success

Stanmore Table Tennis Club is incredibly proud of Daniyal, who was selected to represent England at the Primary Schools International 2026 held in Largs, Scotland.
Chosen as one of just four boys from across the country, this was a huge achievement and a reflection of Daniyal’s progress over the past three years. He rose to the occasion with an outstanding performance across the three-day event.
England faced Wales, Scotland A, Scotland B, Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey. Daniyal was dominant throughout, winning all of his singles and doubles matches against Wales, both Scotland teams, Guernsey and Jersey. England delivered five 10–0 victories and one 9–1 win, showing their strength as a team.
The final match against Ireland proved to be a much closer contest. In a tense and exciting finish, Daniyal won the final match 3–2 to level the overall score at 5–5. Unfortunately, the result was decided on sets countback, with Ireland narrowly taking the title.
England secured a well-deserved silver medal, capping off an excellent tournament.
Representing England on an international stage was a special moment for Daniyal and a proud one for everyone at Stanmore TTC. His performance, attitude and fighting spirit throughout the competition were outstanding.
A fantastic achievement and a memorable experience — with plenty more to come.
