Jack Petchey London Schools' Championships Winner

Huge congratulations to Rishi Patel from Stanmore Table Tennis Club, who has won the Jack Petchey individual under 16s London Schools event.

What makes this achievement even more special is the timing. Rishi has been busy studying hard for his exams and only got back into table tennis in time to compete in this major event, making his victory all the more impressive.

Rishi fought hard throughout the final, eventually coming through 3-0, with games won 11-9, 11-3 and 14-12. It was a display of real determination and skill under pressure.

Rishi has developed into such a fine player over the last couple of years, and everyone at Stanmore Table Tennis Club is incredibly proud of his progress and this fantastic success. Well done, Rishi.

Joel from Stanmore Table Tennis club has been delivering regular coaching at Park High School and this has led to a number of students from Park High being involved with the club. They have absolutely loved it. Their passion for the sport has grown and they have dedicated any spare time they have to practicing the skills and techniques they have been taught. They proudly represent their school and their club. This experience has truly given them a gift that will stay with them well beyond their school years. Our son (now 12 years of age) has been going for just under a year and half to this club after coming from another where he was not really progressing.
