Stanmore Table Tennis Club is thrilled to celebrate another magnificent achievement on the national stage, with our very own Shiromi Aponso shining brightly to become a finalist at the prestigious Liverpool Centenary Senior 4-Star tournament!

Held over the weekend of August 22nd–23rd at the Wavertree Tennis Centre, the historic tournament formed a major highlight of the Liverpool & District Table Tennis League's centenary celebrations. Bringing together an elite field of the finest players from across the UK and beyond to mark 100 years of Liverpool table tennis, the competition offered a formidable test of skill, endurance, and mental toughness.

Shiromi rose brilliantly to the occasion. Showing exceptional composure, tactical awareness, and resilience throughout a packed schedule of top-tier matches, she navigated her way through a stellar field of competitors all the way to the final. Reaching the final of a major national 4-star senior event is a tremendous accomplishment that highlights her high standard of play and fierce competitive spirit.
