It was everything you’d expect from a world championship event… and more.

This week, Stanmore Table Tennis Club had the incredible opportunity to be part of the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026 at the Copper Box Arena — a global event bringing together the very best players in the world.

But this wasn’t just about watching.

Stanmore TTC proudly took over the Fanzone tables for two hours, creating a fantastic atmosphere and encouraging more people to get involved in the sport. Our young players were a credit to the club — full of energy, confidence, and enthusiasm throughout.

We received incredible compliments from organisers and visitors on how polite and friendly the children were, which made the whole experience even more special and something everyone should be proud of.

The players also had the chance to meet international athletes, get signatures, and even have a knock with them in the Fanzone — unforgettable moments that will stay with them for a long time.

To top it all off, we spent time with Team Wales, gaining valuable insights and inspiration from elite-level players.
