Stanmore Table Tennis Club is thrilled to celebrate the fantastic international exploits of our very own Timotei, who reached the quarter-finals of a major high-level tournament in Romania over the weekend!

Timotei has quickly established himself as a top-tier player and an incredible asset to the club. Known for his exceptional dedication, he trains with us three days a week and can be relied upon to be present at every single training session. That unmatched level of commitment was put to the ultimate test this weekend. Showing just how deep his passion runs, Timotei flew back to Romania on Friday night specifically to compete in the tournament, before traveling right back to make it back to the club.

Taking on a massive challenge against top-tier competition, Timotei successfully navigated the early stages to secure his place in the last eight. Though his brilliant run ultimately came to an end in a hard-fought round-of-8 battle, reaching the quarter-finals on such a big stage is a phenomenal achievement.
